About Me

I am an Australian girl living in New York and Connecticut.

An SCU graduate living as expats in USA with my Australian family (my hubby and kiddo are both born in Sydney). After COVID we got our US Permanent Residents, so no more going for visa renewal every 2 years, Ottawa Canada was our fav country during our visa renewal tradition.

We’ve been out of Australia since the kiddo was a wee child and he is now in college (UMass School of Engineering). We adopted a cat via ASPCA in Manhattan and we named her Isla, she helped us make the journey easier during the hardest time when COVID-19 hit the world.

I love taking photos, all of my photos are taken by me with an iPhone (I started with iPhone 3G and have the new iPhone every year). I am currently using an iPhone 15 Pro. When I drive or ride my e-scooter I capture moments with my Meta Ray-Ban (I own both versions: Ray-Ban Stories and  Meta Ray-Ban).

We have lived in a few continents: Australia (proud Aussies!), Europe (UK), Asia (Indonesia and China), and currently in North America since 2013 (NY and CT since 2023)

We have a house in Sydney, Australia but now the US is home.

Living in New York has celebrity spotting moments, here are some of my favorite celebrity moments:

  • David Blaine: I went to a U2 concert in Madison Square Garden NY and met David Blaine (the magician) in person before the show where he did a magic trick with my iPhone.
  • Edward Norton: I saw Edward Norton in front of Marymount School of NY during filming “Collateral Beauty” and someone (that could have been me 🙂 shouted, “I love you Edward Norton!”
  • Keanu Reeves: I accidentally bumped into Keanu Reeves in Central Park while he was filming for John Wick 2. He was on a break in filming, and I was worried about him because he was covered in (fake) blood.
  • Jimmy Fallon: I went to a Tonight with Jimmy Fallon recording and after the show, he came into the audience, and I got a hug from him.
  • Chris Martin (Coldplay). I think I saw Coldplay frontman Chris Martin checking out the S-train recently.
  • Anthony Bourdain: I was walking near my apartment and walked around a corner and we literally collided with each other. Anthony apologized and in shock, I remarked how tall he was. RIP Anthony Bourdain.
  • And many more.
